There was a time when things went badly, but I haven't heard about anything like that happening since that one time.

[She sighs.] Look, relax. I'm just making sure you know about everything that comes along with it, alright? If your powers are dangerous, you need to plan ahead to make sure you don't hurt yourself or anyone else.

You'll also want someone with you because you get pretty sick for a few days.

And I knew that, that's why I need a DOCTOR to cut it out...! [he sort of slows down near the end because as many times as he's gotten stabbed and punched and kicked and sliced over the years actually deliberately getting it done is weirdly nervewracking]

Because, the doctors are the ones doing all of the healing. There would be a lot more injured and dead if they were gone.
